Radius Problem

so the mount. several things. took me awhile to measure the radius. i tried it without the radius gauge and it did measure but it was off by a lot. i think it was roughly 50mmm but it was a bit far off. the actual i used in the bevelling/chamfer is 70mm. or maybe Houdin has a different computation.

I think it took me a lot of iteration to be able to find the 70mm through trial in error. Main reason is I actually have to print (takes several minutes) then check if it fits.

First it was printing the whole segment (the best but took some time) then just doing bottom part (but this actually bends more than I expect it to) then finally still doing the segment but only part out of it.

At hindsight, it seem obvious but it definitely took me sometime to figure it out.

The Side mount Problem

So there is three ways possile mounting option. Top. TopSide and Side. Top and Side are pretty straightforward. not much radius and there is leeway how you are going to attached it.

Topside on the other hand. it need to snap on the specific angle you set. And I couldn't

The only way to do it is to increase the clearance and this means the topside mount does not snap on one location it can move side by side. it sucks lol.

so my overall plan really is to attach some sort of fancy design on the top side. and my initial idea is to have mounting system. so I have one part always attached to the paddle and the other is interchangeable. initially i tried doing it with shrek ears.

it works. i mean mounts. but when you play it it just falls off.

Oh by the way, im using a TPU 68D on this (or TPU for AMS Bambu Filament) rather than 90A or 95A. Initially I tried with PETG PLA the mounting sytem works but the extension design. i feel like it can definitely shatter.

That's why the TPU 68D. It is not as stiff but not as flexible either.

Oh in this case, I just learned that Bambulab Studio has its own threading system so I just that.

So my second attempt is to have a single plane mount like a disney and it is one component. it does work better. not that jarring compared to the other one. but when it comes off. it still comes the whole.

so my next attempt is not using the design but just concentrate if it comes off. this time only the petg. it works. i tried it about 3 sessions (multiple 15-20 games) now and it doesn't come of. so petg mount is the key then use a TPU. I'll just glue it.

The major problem on this mount is definitely the size. it no longer fits on the bag it does weight a lot when you swing. And of course, it looks cringe and stupid. So many downside, so why bother at all?
